Katja Herbers has been a professional musician since she was a young girl. She is the daughter of Vera Beths (violinist) and Werner Herbers (oboist). Herbers spent lots of moments with her mom in America when she was an infant, while they toured the world together. Her mother remarried Anner Bylsma the cellist and her father got married to costume designer Leonie Polek. They brought her to theater. Her childhood was filled with an au pair in Canada, and was able to learn Dutch German and English. Herbers completed her studies at the Ignatius Gymnasium.
